Design rationale

These arms are a differenced version of the armiger’s birth family (SAYER) armorial bearings with Sable replaced by Vert. As a legitimate Heir in the male line but with a different surname due to adoption it was appropriate to difference the Arms. The original Sayer arms date from at least 1590 in Wurttemburg.

The armiger is a Knight of the Order of St Thomas of Acre (re-established on 8th February 2005), a Knight of the Order of St Joachim and a Founding Fellow, Fellowship of the White Shield.

Inheritance

Birth Father Max Emerich Sayer b 1930 10th in descent from Rudolph Sayer recorded as using the Arms 1640, Grandson of Michael Sayer of Vienna 1590
