Rationale

These arms are assumed and original to the armiger - for his Scottish side of Ferguson. The Boar represents the armiger's strength while the collar and chain represents the bondage of this world in which he drags around. All though free, the weight drags as a reminder of who the armiger is. He is only free by the grace of God, hench the motto "Graced By God" as a reminder. The three buckles are to represent the head of the armiger's life and his buckler the Father, Son and Holy Ghost of God, his redeemer and friend. The thistle in the boar's mouth represents that life will be sweeter after the pains of difficulties of life. Just hold on.
