Biographical information

I was born in 1943 at Madelia, Minnesota. My father emigrated from Germany at the age of three and my mother was born in Minnesota. I was reared in many different states because of my father’s career in the Army. I served in the U.S. Air Force from 1964 to 1968 followed by a career in the telecommunications industry.

Design rationale

I chose argent to represent peace and sincerity, azure for truth and loyalty, and purpure for justice. The “cross roucy” represents my faith in Jesus Christ and the values He taught. The stag represents my desire for peace with honor and my willingness to fight for it. The cinquefoil represents my hope in the future and what it can bring. The falcon rising represents my tenaciousness. My motto represents my belief that all peoples deserve to be treated truthfully, with honor and respect and with equal justice. Finally, the colors red, white and blue represent the colors of the flag of my native land – The United States of America.
