Biographical information
Derek Rowlands was educated at the Hutchins School Hobart, Elizabeth College, Hobart and the University of Tasmania. He has worked for the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organization, the State Library of Tasmania, Unilever Australia Ltd, and has now been a senior librarian at the University of Tasmania for some years. Derek is a fellow of the Royal Geographical Society.
