James Lynn Guest II

Registration number 20080108A

This certifies that the heraldic arms of James Lynn Guest II are registered as an original design and are described by the blazon below

Arms: A paly of six Sanguine and Azure, two swords inverted in saltire proper between in chief a fleur-de-lis Or and in base a talbot sejant Or.
Crest: On a torse Sanguine and Azure a talbot's head erased Or.
Mantling: Sanguine doubled Or.
Motto: Fax mentis honestas gloria (Glory is the light of a Noble Mind)

Design rationale

Arms developed from using elements of arms of the same surname: one is divided per pale, so we came up with the paly of six, another carried several fleur-de-lis' so it was chosen and one of the mottoes refer to iron and a sword so the swords were added. James raises beagles and they are believed to be a distant relative of the talbot so the talbot was used on the shield and as the crest.
