Design rationale
The design is based on the ancestral arms of one of the school's founder Benjamin Packard (Gyronny of wight Argent and Azure on a canton Gules a fleur-de-lis Or). Joseph Wolf researched and proposed the design in 1966. Replaced earlier design by Ann Hollins.
