Design rationale
The rough coat collie represents me. My bad beginings and how things got better.
The dogwood represents my maternal line. My mother, her mother, her mother, etc were born in North Carolina. Dogwoood is the flower of that state. It also represents "home" as it reminds me of the dogwood trees that grow in my grandparent's yard.
Blue is for the sea. My father is a second generation marine surveyor. Also both of my parents were in the navy.
The cat represents that which has always been present in my life. It represents family.
The butterfly wings represent my religion, pagan. It also is to represent that a little can do a lot.
